"Burren Stone"

This painting was done in 2010.

It  was exhibited in "The Russell Gallery " New Quay ,Co Clare ,in 2010/2011,along with "Drying Burren Wood" .

It is a standing stone that could be seen anywhere in and around the Burren area.

I used only Lamp Black and White on this piece.The sky area is painted with a large soft brush, but the main part was put on with a Pallet Knife, I find using a Pallet Knife gives a nice texture between light and shade in this particular piece.
