Two more paintings

Hi Everyone,

Just a short note on the pieces below.

"Two Tree"s was painted in Jean Ryans studio in summer 2010, It's acrylic on Canvas painted with a mixed technique, the backround was painted with flat brushes, and the tree's themselves with a round tipped brush.

I did the lower foreground with a pallette knife loosely drawn across the canvas, It gave a mottled effect which worked well.

"Vase of Roses " was painted in early 2010, again it's Acrylic on Canvas, and painted with a pallette Knife, I put the paint on thick to get the Rose effect right and then I etched the rose with the pallette knife edge.
